🎯 Appliance Fit Policy

Ensuring a Comfortable Fit with Your Custom Dental Appliance
Teeth Retain Design

At Teeth Retain Design, we understand that a well-fitting dental appliance is essential to your comfort, confidence, and daily well-being. Our team takes great care in crafting each custom device based on the impression you provide—but because each mouth and impression is unique, the fit may require minor adjustments.

This policy outlines what to expect, what’s covered, and how we’ll support you in achieving the right fit.

🧪 Our Commitment to Fit Accuracy

Each appliance we create is custom-fabricated based on the dental impression you submit. The accuracy of that impression directly determines the comfort and fit of your device.

✅ If the impression is accurate, your device should fit securely and comfortably.
❌ If the impression is distorted, incomplete, or inaccurate, it can lead to a poor fit.

That’s why we encourage all customers to submit photos of their impression for review before mailing it back.

⚙️ Initial Fit Expectations

It’s normal for a new appliance—especially a retainer or night guard—to feel:

  • Tight at first (due to minor tooth movement between impression and delivery)

  • Slightly different from what you're used to, especially if replacing an old device

Give it a few days of consistent wear. In most cases, your teeth and bite will adjust, and the appliance will begin to feel more comfortable.

🔁 Adjustment & Remake Policy

If your appliance does not fit properly after a brief adjustment period, we’re happy to help.

✅ You’re Eligible for a Free Adjustment or Remake If:

  • Your appliance does not fit due to minor comfort or alignment issues

  • Your original impression was accurate

  • You contact us within 30 days of delivery

  • The device is unused, undamaged, and returned within 15 days

📦 Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise approved.

💬 What to Do If It Doesn’t Fit

  1. Stop using the appliance if you feel pain or pressure.

  2. Contact us at info@teethretaindesign.com.

  3. 💬 Live chat available during business hours on our website
  4. Share:

    • A description of the issue

    • Photos of the appliance in/out of the mouth (if possible)

    • A copy of your impression (if retained)

  5. Our team will guide you through the adjustment or remake process.

❌ What’s Not Covered

We cannot offer free remakes or adjustments for:

  • Appliances made from distorted or inaccurate impressions

  • Devices that are worn, used, altered, or damaged

  • Devices lost after delivery

  • Customer errors in choosing the wrong product

  • Issues caused by existing dental work not disclosed (e.g., crowns, implants, bridges)

  • Situations involving braces, dentures, or advanced gum disease

🔄 Replacement Impression Kits

If your impression was distorted or rejected by our team:

  • A replacement kit will be required to create a new device

  • Cost: $14.95 plus shipping

  • We’ll include instructions and guidance to help you get it right the second time

🛠 Important Reminders

  • Your appliance is crafted from the impression you take—not from a scan or exam by a dentist.

  • The final product is only as good as the impression we receive.

  • We will always do our best to help you get the perfect fit—just reach out.

🤝 Our Fit Guarantee

Your satisfaction is important to us. That’s why we offer:

  • One free adjustment or remake per order within the warranty period

  • Continued email support until your device fits properly
